Author Holds Service

Effective immediately, we are cancelling our current Author Holds service (where we automatically place the holds for your favorite authors).  We are replacing this with a newly expanded service.

This new program will be available to CHE patrons with a CHE library card ONLY.

We have put notes on all the patrons who were on the old program. If they are eligible to join the new program it says “they need to fill out the new application”. If they are not, it just says to tell them it’s cancelled.

Eligible patrons will need to fill out a brand new online application to participate in the program - their old information will NOT be automatically transferred.

I was hoping to have the new application up by today, but that is not working out as planned.

So if you get a patron who asks tell them to check back the next time they come in.

I am hoping to have this up and running by the middle of next week at the latest.

If a patron does not have the Internet at home, they will be able to fill out the application on one of the library’s card catalog stations. There will NOT be any paper forms for this new program.
