MadScience Great Research Resource
While researching a very difficult topic (What are Baltimore butterflies, and where do they sleep? Wanna guess?) Midge found a website that could be an excellent resource for us: it's called The MadSci Network, a non-profit organization that collects information on all sorts of scientific topics. One of their best features is a "Ask-A-Scientist" section, where kids (and adults, I would assume!) can ask questions and a researcher - in our case, from the University of Winsconsin - will return a reply with accurate information. There is also a handy-dandy archives section where you can search previously-answered questions for the answer you need.
Give it a try!
