New Delivery Company and zip ties
Our new delivery company will start next Monday. The driver came in today and introduced himself and took a look at our setup. From first impressions, I think he will work out well for us.
He will be going from SLC and first stopping at MCL. We are then next on his route, which means our delivery should be here by 9:45 on a regular basis. This means we can go back to doing delivery on the day it comes and not adding another 24 hours to the patron's wait (Yeah!!)
We are now supposed to use black zip ties on each outgoing bin. One (1) zip tie per bin. The zip ties are supplied by SLC (they gave us like 2000). There is now two see through pockets adhered to the wall kickout by where the bins go. When a bin is brought to the back that staff member should grab a tie from one of the pockets and tie one end of each bin they brought back.
These ties are reusable, so whoever processes the incoming bins in the morning will need to remove the ties and put them back into the pockets on the wall. There is a small clip on the ties that when depressed with your fingertip allows the tie to be easily removed from the bin. We will reuse them until we think they are no longer any good. (I think the 2000 will last us a long long time).
