System Administrator Meeting Notes

Just some notes from my last system's meeting that were asked to be shared with staff:

1. Please call another library before sending a patron there for items. The other library's want to make sure the item is actually there/available for the patron before they make the trip.

2. Make sure that any items we claims return are CHE items. We are not allowed to claims return anybody else's items, however you may call them and see if they will do it over the phone.

3. Ray Township residents are not yet eligible for a "free" card. They will become eligible once Ray has their items in the system and are ready to loan their items out. Tammy since since it is a reciprocating privilege it can not start until ray has items to loan.

4. Title records for DVD's are currently [(DVD)videorecording]. That is now changing to [videorecording-DVD]. If you are used to searching using DVD as a key word, this will not affect your searches.

5. If Lynn is not here and you need to call the computer room, please call 586-685-5755. Do not call a specific person's phone number (IE. Chris, Ken) as if they are not working you will go to their voice mail and not get called back. By calling the computer room number the call will bump from phone to phone and try all numbers before sending you to voicemail.
