Sunday Classifieds

Per our discussion at the staff meeting, the Sunday classified ads for the Macomb Daily and The Detroit News & Free Press will now be kept at the reference desk. Patrons must leave a driver's license with the librarian in order to see the classifieds. This is to prevent them from "walking", as has been happening lately.

The licenses can be kept in the 2nd drawer of the ref desk, in the floppy disk container, until the ads are returned. I have placed a Princeton file in the Ready Ref section where the classifieds can be kept and posted a sign on the newspaper shelves referring patrons to Ref.

Sue Z. will be responsible for placing the new classifieds at the ref desk every Mon. morning, and placing the old copies back in the respective newspapers. We will only be keeping the current week's ads (Sunday edition only) at the ref desk. Previous weeks will be shelved with the rest of the newspapers.
