Patron lookup and New Card registration

With the last upgrade of Workflows there was a change in the Display User Wizard and how it searches for patrons.

With the default search method, you MUST enter the complete last and first name to get any results. Example: if you just entered Minor, L it will tell you "User Not Found" which is VERY misleading.

Because of this SLC told all member libraries to NOT use this "first level" of searching. Whenever you are looking for a patron by name, ESPECIALLY when entering a new library card, you MUST go to the "second level" of searching which is the Browse User wizard.

The Browse User wizard allows you to truncate/shorten your search terms and will give you a more accurate results list.

You get to the Browse User Wizard by clicking on the "little red guy" located in the upper left corner of the Display User search box (see below) .

Once you are in the Browse User search box it will look like the picture below (it does not actually say "browser User" on it) .
