The FTC is requiring that consumers be able to obtain a free credit report annually. Michigan residents will be able to start doing this as of March 1, 2005. The above website gives details, including the central website consumers can use:
www.annualcreditreport.com
There is also a toll-free number and a mailing address listed on the FTC website.
